Creating a Safer, More Humane Future

No dog should spend its life on a chain. Yet, thousands of dogs across the country endure prolonged tethering, often exposed to extreme weather, loneliness, and neglect.

At Free Range Paws, we are committed to ending this inhumane practice through education, direct support, and policy change.

Education & Awareness

Education is key to creating a world where all pets are treated with love and respect. Through workshops, youth outreach, and online resources, we provide pet owners and animal advocates with the knowledge they need to ensure their pets live happy, healthy lives.

community Workshops & Events

We are committed to participating in local events to raise awareness about our services and educate the community on animal welfare, including the dangers of tethering.

Our upcoming educational sessions will be available both in-person and virtually, covering important topics such as humane pet care, responsible ownership, and animal welfare laws. Whether you're a new pet owner or a seasoned advocate, our events offer valuable insights to help you provide the best care for your pet.

youth outreach

In our youth programs, we educate children about animal welfare, empathy, and responsible pet care, helping them develop a lifelong commitment to treating animals with kindness and respect. By teaching kids about the importance of ending harmful practices like tethering, we’re nurturing future advocates who will continue to champion humane treatment for animals.

fencing assistance program

Many families want to provide their dogs with a safe and secure outdoor space but may lack the resources to make it happen. While we have not yet launched our Fencing Assistance Program, we are excited to announce plans to begin offering free and low-cost fencing solutions in 2026. With the support of corporate partners, sponsors, donors, and grants, we hope to ensure that more dogs can live in safe environments, free from chains and unsafe conditions.

In addition to fencing, we will provide dog shelters and blankets to protect dogs from the elements, creating a clean and secure space for food, water, and rest. We will also offer post-checkups and cleaning services for shelters, blankets, and bowls upon request, ensuring that pets continue to receive the best possible care.

Together, with your help, we can launch this important program and give dogs the freedom and safety they deserve.

the process

Apply:

Once we launch our Fencing Assistance Program, pet owners in need submit an application.

Evaluation:

Our team will assesses the property and determine the best fencing solution, as well as additional needs & services that can be provided.

Installation:

With the help of corporate partners, volunteers and donors, we install secure fencing, giving dogs a new lease on life.

how your support will help us launch…

To successfully launch and sustain the Fencing Assistance Program, we rely on funding and grants. Your support, through financial contributions or in-kind donations, will allow us to provide these essential services to families who otherwise couldn’t afford them. These funds will cover the costs of fencing materials, shelters, blankets, and the labor needed for installation and ongoing maintenance.

ADVOCACY & LEGISLATION

We will work closely with policymakers, animal welfare organizations, and community advocates to push for stronger animal protection laws. Our focus is on ending the cruel practice of prolonged tethering and promoting humane containment solutions.
